Inside Radical Honesty Reset
Case Study 1 (Emily Hutchinson, Apply Psychology)
Emily signed up for Radical Honesty Reset because she had lost her joy and motivation for work.
“I wanted to feel excited and lighter about my work again… but I was slipping into ways of working that were not serving me.”
On the outside, everything still looked good.
But it didn’t feel how she wanted it to feel.
Over the 30 days, something began to shift.
“All of it. I honestly felt so much better after every conversation.”
“Fantastic listening, challenging of assumptions and turning things around. The weekly rhythm and intensity of it was also effective.”
And then this:
“That I have choice is probably the biggest thing.”
“That I don’t need to panic or try harder and harder, but that I can relax and trust (in myself as much as anything).”
From there, the way she moved changed.
“I have signed up for co-working space.”
“I’m now thinking in terms of joint delivery far more, and what is simple, easy and fun for me to do.”
“I have had two ‘out of the blue’ possibilities arise in the last two weeks which could be significant.”
“I feel more energised for sure.”
“And more connected to others (and my local community).”
And what feels possible now:
“That I can continue working for the next five plus years on my own terms and with joy, fun and connection.”
Case Study 2 (Anonymous)
“My core question was essentially what am I doing with my life.”
It wasn’t new.
But she hadn’t really let herself sit with it properly.
“I think I was also avoiding thinking too deeply about my questions… allowing myself to be distracted from them.”
“I was spending time and energy guilt-tripping myself about not going after things I felt I should do.”
“And at the same time feeling sort of aimless and dissatisfied with myself.”
Even in conversations:
“I was also sometimes holding back on saying what I really thought or felt… because I wasn’t sure if I really thought or felt what I thought.”
“Talking to someone who could hold up the mirror for me as I was thinking, so that I could get clear on it.”
“The structured approach helped me stick with the process… rather than allowing myself to be distracted.”
“I don’t feel guilty for not wanting to do things that I don’t want to do.”
“I feel like I’ve got a new zest for life.”
“I’m spotting ways to enjoy the everyday and I’m less stressed.”
“I’m more open to socialising… and to trying things just for the sake of it.”
“For example… I went on a weekend course about performing folktales, and next week I’m going to an improv class.”
“I can finally imagine enjoying life to the full without having to retire first.”
